Lost 10 lakhs in land fraud, lost senses after retirement

Jagdalpur: The savings that become a support for old age after retirement have also become the target of fraudsters. A case of cheating of Rs 10 lakh from a retired employee in village Bhirlinga of Bastar police station area by promising to give him land has come to light.
According to the information, 64-year-old Harinand Singh, a resident of Lalbagh, was looking for land before retiring from his job. During this time he met Baidhanth Thakur, a resident of Borpadar. He told him that three acres of Nazul land is available for sale near Bayaguda toll naka. After the deal was finalized, Harinand Singh gave Rs 7 lakh online and Rs 3 lakh in cash to the accused Dilip Sanwara to buy the land.
After retirement, the truth came out that the same land has been sold to someone else. After the complaint was lodged, the police arrested the main accused Dilip Sanwara and presented him in the court. At the same time, co-accused Baidhanth Thakur is still absconding, who is being searched by the police.
