Locks of Staff Selection Commission Hamirpur opened after a long time, SIT team reached to search records

Hamirpur. The locks of Staff Selection Commission Hamirpur, dissolved by the state government, were opened on Thursday after a long time. Recently, Anupam Thakur, registrar of Himachal Pradesh Technical University, has been appointed OSD here by the state government. After seeking the records from the SIT, after getting permission from the government, the OSD along with the selected employees of the commission has scrutinized the records.

It is being told that this record will soon be handed over to the SIT. Due to non-receipt of records for the last few days, the investigation in various recruitment examinations was not progressing. Now after a long time the locks of the commission are opened, the investigation is expected to accelerate. The locks of the Heavy Police Force Deployment Commission were opened on Thursday around 10 am in the presence of OSD Anupam Thakur, after which the records were scrutinized here for hours.

Significantly, on December 23, 2022, the paper leak case came to the fore in the Staff Selection Commission, Hamirpur. Uma Azad, a woman employee posted in the confidential branch of the commission, was made the main accused in the case. In this case, 5 FIRs have been registered in different post codes. FIR has also been lodged in the postcode 819 traffic inspector recruitment exam yesterday itself. Paper leak in this recruitment exam has also been revealed in the investigation. A total of four people have been made accused in the fifth FIR. Accused Uma Azad and his two sons are currently in judicial custody, while another accused candidate Ravi Kumar may also be arrested by the Vigilance team soon. In the first FIR registered in the paper leak case, Jitendra Kanwar, former secretary of the Staff Selection Commission, Hamirpur, has also been made an accused. The Vigilance team is constantly questioning him, although the former secretary has not been arrested so far. A case has also been registered against the peons of the Commission for tampering with OMR sheets. In this matter, after opening the locks of the commission once again, the investigation is expected to speed up.
