Liquor distillery exposed near drain

In continuation of the instructions of Collector Shri Vinay Kumar Langeh, the Excise Department is taking continuous action against illegal liquor in the district to prevent possible loss of life due to consumption of illegally distilled raw liquor and to protect the excise revenue. mahasamund

Informer information was received in the Excise Control Room Basna that a lot of liquor is being manufactured for sale by some people under bamboo and neem trees on the banks of Jhorki Nala of village Jamdi under Basna police station.

On the basis of the information, a raid was conducted by the joint Excise Team Basna and Saraipali. On searching near the said Nala, liquor manufacturing work was found to be going on from a single furnace. 70 liters of hand-made raw liquor worth Rs 14000, 600 kg of Mahua Lahan worth Rs 30000 and a set of liquor manufacturing material were recovered on the spot, which was duly taken into Excise custody. Seeing the Excise team, the accused fled from there. The accused was traced, but when no information was found, a crime was registered against the unknown accused under Section 34 (1) A, C, E and 34 (2) of the Excise Act and the case is being investigated and the accused is being traced. The above action was taken by a joint team of Nitesh Singh Bains, Excise Sub-Inspector, Circle Basna and Darsaram Soni, Excise Sub-Inspector, Circle Saraipali, in which the Excise staff was present.
