Liquor distillery busted in the jungle of Gariaband
Gariaband. Due to the upcoming urban exit and three-tier panchayat elections in Chhattisgarh, the administration is strict against drug abuse. Today, the District Excise Team and Raipur Divisional Flying Squad Team have taken major action against illegal liquor manufacturing in Gariaband district.
The team had received information from an informer that illegal liquor is being made in the forest of Barethin Kona on the banks of the river Pari. After which the team reached the spot and seized it from the forest. According to the Excise Department, its total value has been estimated at Rs 2 lakh 92 thousand.
The department seized and destroyed the raw Mahua liquor. A case has been registered under Section 34 (1), (a), 34 (1) (c) and 34 (2) of the Excise Act in the case of illegal liquor manufacturing and possession and the investigation is going on. Let us tell you that this entire action was taken by the team of District Excise Officer Raghuvar Singh Rathore and Mukesh Kumar Agarwal on the instructions of Gariaband Collector Deepak Agarwal.
