Line clear for Azharuddin, Kodandaram MLC candidacies

The line has been cleared for the nominations of Azharuddin and Kodandaram MLCs proposed by the state cabinet regarding the appointment of Governor’s Quota MLCs. Governor Shiv Pratap signed the file approving the nominations of Azharuddin and Kodandaram. A gazette notification will be issued soon. It is known that there has been a deadlock over the Governor’s Quota MLCs for the last three years.

Minister Ponnam Prabhakar extended his heartfelt congratulations to Minister Azharuddin and Professor Kodandaram, who were appointed as MLCs through the Governor’s quota. He believed that their experience in public service would further contribute to the development of the state. He hoped that their services in the Legislative Council would continue in line with the aspirations of the people. He thanked Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla for approving their appointment as the appointment of these two MLCs had been pending for some time.
