Light rain is expected in Tamil Nadu from today until December 20th.

Tamil Nadu: The Chennai Meteorological Department has stated that light to moderate rainfall is likely in Tamil Nadu from Monday (December 15) to December 20.

A press release issued by the central government on Sunday said: On Sunday, the maximum temperature was below normal in many places across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal regions.

Due to a change in the speed of easterly winds, light to moderate rainfall is likely in many places across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal regions from Monday (December 15) to December 20.

Additionally, light fog is also expected in the early morning hours. The temperature will remain below normal on Monday and Tuesday (December 15 and 16).

Warning for fishermen: On December 15 and 16, winds gusting up to 55 kmph are expected along the coastal areas of South Tamil Nadu, the Gulf of Mannar, and the Comorin Sea. Therefore, fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas for fishing.
