Leopard made fatal attack on elderly woman, condition critical

Raigarh. A case of leopard attacking and injuring an elderly woman has come to light in the early morning in Sarangarh Barmkela village Malda (B) adjacent to Gomarda Sanctuary. According to the information, an elderly resident of Malda had gone towards Bari to do household work as usual around 5 am. Then the leopard attacked the woman. There is an atmosphere of panic among the villagers after the leopard attack in Malda B village adjacent to Gomarda Sanctuary. This type of incident has happened before also, cattle have also been made victims.

After the leopard attack, the woman started screaming and trying to save herself, due to the noise the leopard ran away from the spot towards the forest before people could gather. Here, after getting the information, the forest department officials came to the spot and started inspection. Whereas there is resentment among the villagers as the injured woman returned without getting proper treatment. It is also necessary to mention here that such attacks by wild animals are continuously occurring in the said area. At the same time, this village is also connected to the forest and Gomarda sanctuary, due to which wild animals come from the forest side and are seen here and there on the main roads also.
