Maulekhal (Almora) : A leopard attacked a young man who got out of his car to defecate in Salt. The leopard dragged him to a distance of 200 meters. Due to his struggle and the noise made by the passengers in the car and other drivers passing by, the leopard left him and ran away and his life was saved. He has suffered serious injuries and is undergoing treatment in Haldwani. There is panic in the entire area after the incident.
Ramesh Khatri (43), resident of Gairsain, was returning home in a car with his family members. Around 6 am on Tuesday morning, he stopped the car near Danapani Charidhar of Talla Salt and got out to defecate. Then the leopard in ambush attacked him and dragged him 200 meters away. The struggle continued between the two for a few minutes. After the noise made by the passing drivers and family members, the leopard ran away, which saved its life.
