Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur said this in a press conference held in Paonta Sahib. He had reached the residence of BJP state spokesperson Baldev Tomar in Paonta Sahib from Uttarakhand on Tuesday.

He said that the Central Government has fulfilled the 55 year old demand of the Hati community of Giripar area. The Central Government has given tribal status to Hati community by passing a bill. The Central Government has sent the Hati Law Bill to the State Government. But the state government has not implemented it yet. There was no need for clarification. Nevertheless, this matter has been discussed with Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Jairam said that Congress has always done politics on this issue. After the central government fulfilled the decades-old demand of the Hati community, the work is being done to make people fight among themselves. On this occasion, former minister and MLA Sukhram Chaudhary, former MLA Baldev Tomar etc. were also present. After this, Jairam Thakur, while addressing the workers in Sarahan, said that the tenure of the Congress government, which came to power in the name of false guarantees, has been disappointing so far.
