Last chance for choice filling for admission in IIT-NIT
Public Relations Webdesk | JoSAA has started the counseling process for admission in IIT, NIT and other top engineering colleges. The last day of choice filling for this counseling being done for more than 57 thousand seats in 116 colleges is June 28 till 05 pm. Students can fill the choices of 813 branches of 116 colleges. Career counseling expert Amit Ahuja told that if the student is not able to lock his/her filled college choice within the given time, then his/her last saved choice automatically gets auto-locked. The second mock seat allocation of joint seat counseling has been released. Allocation has been given by including 1 crore 99 lakh 83 thousand 032 choices of total 1 lakh 74 thousand 148 students in the released mock seat allocation.
After the second mock seat allotment, students must check their filled college choices one last time to see if there is any choice that is lower in priority than the college branch allotted to them in the second mock seat allotment. And the choice of any college branch below the branch received is such that it was to be filled in priority above that branch. Because once locked, no change is possible in the filled branch. This JoSAA counseling will be done in six rounds.
The first round of seat allotment for admission to IITs, NITs will be declared on June 30 at 10 am.
After the first round seat allotment, students will have to do online reporting between June 30 to July 04.
In online reporting, students will have to deposit the seat acceptance fee and upload all the required documents.
Their allotted seat will be confirmed by JoSAA after verifying their documents.
It is mandatory to have OBC and EWS certificate after April 1, 2023 in the category documents to be uploaded.
