Lakhs of jewelery stolen from deserted house, 2 vicious thieves arrested

Raipur. Applicant Kalpana Verma had lodged a report in Kharora police station that she had gone to the sugarcane juice shop near Tigda Chowk under Kharora area to drink sugarcane juice and kept gold and silver jewellery, cash, mobile phone, Aadhaar card and other things in her hand bag. PAN card was kept. Meanwhile, the applicant had forgotten her hand bag in the sugarcane juice shop and had gone home, when she remembered that when the applicant returned to the shop and checked, her hand bag in which the said Mashrooka was kept was missing. An unknown thief had stolen the applicant’s hand bag in which the said Mashrooka was kept, and on the report of the applicant, crime number 402/23 section 379 of the Indian Penal Code was registered against the unknown accused in Police Station Kharora. The crime of was registered.

Under the direction of senior officers, the joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Kharora police station conducted detailed interrogation of the people nearby including the applicant and the operator of the sugarcane juice shop in connection with the incident and also engaged an informer in the case and kept a close eye on the unknown accused. Investigation was being done. Meanwhile, the team members received important information regarding the accused Sujit Dahriya, a resident of Bangoli Kharora, on which the team members caught the accused Sujit Dahriya and interrogated him strictly in relation to the incident. He committed the said incident of theft. And the stolen gold jewelery was told to be given to Vikas Manikpuri, resident of Palari Baloda Bazar, for sale. On which accused Vikas Manikpuri was also caught. Both the accused were arrested and stolen gold and silver jewelery worth approximately Rs 1,00,000/- was seized from their possession and section 411, 34 of Indian Penal Code was registered in the case. The pair went and took action against the accused.
