Kumbhabhishekam of Kamakshi and Meenakshi Amman temples: Thirumavalavan MP

Tamil Nadu : Kumbhabhishekam was conducted at Kamakshi and Meenakshi Amman temples near Thogaimalai on Wednesday.
At Adi Alathur, a village near Thogaimalai in Karur district, which falls under Alathur panchayat, there is a temple dedicated to the famous Vinayaka, Kamakshi, Meenakshi, Athimarathan, Masi Periyanan and Kathavarayan Swamiji, who were blessed by three elderly citizens and 87 village members. The renovation of this temple was completed and Kumbhabhishekam was conducted on Wednesday morning.
Earlier on the occasion of Kumbhabhishekam, devotees went to the Cauvery river on Tuesday morning to fetch holy water and perform special abhishekam on Swamiji. Following this, Vinayaka Pooja, Anunkai, Vigneshwar Pooja, Punniyakavajanam, Ganapathi Homam, Vastu Shanthi, Praveshpali, Mrityunga Sangrahanam, Ankurappanam, Kumbh Alankaram and preliminary Yaga Pooja were conducted at the temple Yaga Road.
Subsequently, on Wednesday morning, the second period of Yaga Puja was conducted, which included installation of protective shield, Mangal Sangeet, Go Puja, offering of Rashbandhanam, Nadisandhanam to Swamiji and departure of Kadam.
Later, Shivacharyas led by 87 Ura Periyathanam Narayanasamy, Ura Nayaka Krishnasamy and Ura Gounder Saravanan performed Kumbhabhishekam by pouring holy water into the gopuram cauldron of Vinayaka, Kamakshi, Meenakshi, Athimarathan and Masi Periyanan Swamy. Later, the holy water was sprinkled on the devotees.
A large number of devotees, including Tamil Nadu Liberation Tigers leader, MP Thirumavalavan, Kulithalai MLA Manickam, and former Alathur Panchayat Parishad presidents Jayapal and Keshavan, attended the ceremony.
