Kothagudem: Man gives lift to strangers, robs them of gold and cash

Kothagudem: A man’s kindness cost him dearly when a gang looted him near Kothagudem town on Monday night. According to police officials, Vasala Tirupati of Tekulapalli mandal was travelling in a car towards Kothagudem and four men asked him for a lift between Anishettipalli and Lothavagu in Lakshmidevipalli mandal. As soon as he stopped the car to help them, the robbers threw chilli powder on his face and eyes. They then snatched the car keys from Tirupati and fled after looting gold, mobile phones and cash. Lakshmidevipalli police reached the spot after receiving information from Tirupati. Police officials have registered a case and started investigation.
