It is auspicious to plant it in food or in a pot, according to Vastu, planting Tulsi in this way gives auspicious results, apart from this, it is considered good even in a round shaped pot.
It is believed that this brings positivity in the house. The most auspicious direction to plant this plant is considered to be the North East. By planting it here, planetary defects and Vastu defects are destroyed and the house remains full of wealth and grains. Tulsi leaves should not be plucked even by mistake on Amavasya, Dwadashi and Chaturdashi. Apart from this, doing this on Sunday and Ekadashi is also considered prohibited.
