According to sources, Kishan Reddy plans to remove at least 50 percent of the district presidents and replace them with his loyalists. Kishan Reddy faced many problems with district presidents and high level leaders during the assembly elections. It was learned that Kishan Reddy identified those district presidents who would not work hard for the victory of the party candidates and who would work against the party.
According to reports, the exercise of selection of candidates for the posts of District President started and as part of the same initiative, he met various leaders on Saturday and discussed the replacement of the existing District Presidents. Sources said Kishan Reddy does not want to take the risk of retaining the existing district presidents in their duties as it will impact the party’s performance in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Kishan Reddy believes that the decision to change the district presidents is a strategic measure to take complete control over the party. In fact, during the assembly elections, the party had to suffer a lot due to differences among the leaders. In fact, after many leaders raised questions against him, the party leadership was forced to replace Bandi Sanjay with Kishan Reddy.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also expressed dissatisfaction over the ongoing disputes between senior leaders and warned that he would take strict action against those involved in anti-party activities.
The party got four seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and this time it plans to win more than ten seats. The BJP’s vote share doubled with the increase, from 6.10 per cent in 2018 to 14.02 per cent in the November assembly elections and it aims to garner more than 25 per cent of the votes in the upcoming general elections.
