Kerala: Woman commits suicide after her private photos go viral on social media

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, Thiruvananthapuram: A young man committed suicide shortly after his girlfriend’s family filed a police complaint. Kiran (27), a resident of Usha Bhavan in Thonnakkal Lal Bagh Nagar, committed suicide at his friend’s house at 6 a.m. on Monday.

The girl’s family had filed a police complaint against him for sharing private photos of their daughter. Following this, a case was filed against four people, including Kiran, who was upset by this. Kiran told his close relatives and friends that he had not shared the photos.

It is also suspected that someone else may have sent the photos from his phone without his knowledge. Kiran went to his friend’s house nearby on Sunday night. Kiran, who had slept with him that night, was found hanging from a hook inside the house in the morning. He was immediately taken to the Chirayinkeezhu Government Taluk Hospital, but his life could not be saved.
