Kerala: Two children drowned in a pond in Kanthapuram

Kozhikode: Two children drowned in a pond at Kanthapuram in Unnikulam panchayat of Poonoor. The deceased were identified as Muhammad Farzan (9) son of Abdul Razak and Muhammad Abubakkar (8) son of Muhammad Salih, both residents of Alangaappoil in Kanthapuram. Their bodies were recovered from a pond located around 100 metres from their houses.
The children went missing around 4 pm on Tuesday. A search operation was launched and their bodies were found in the pond around 7 pm. The bodies were first taken to a private hospital in Poonoor. The bodies will be taken to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital after investigation by the Balussery police.
