Kerala: KSRTC management takes strict action against drunkards. The reason for this is that the number of cases of drunkenness is increasing day by day. Those suspended on charges of drunkenness will be reinstated in their respective units instead of sending them out of the three districts. The idea is to make people look at the subject casually by telling the re-admission number in the respective units even after suspension due to drunkenness.
There has been a case of blowing the Tik Varumpol with a breath analyser to know whether he is drunk or present on duty on morning duty in every depot. Some people fail the breath test and are not admitted on duty.
