Kerala: SSLC-Plus Two exam postponed in Gulf, HSC result on May 22

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM Thiruvananthapuram: Education Minister V. Sivankutty stated that conducting exams in the Gulf region is difficult due to the ongoing war. The minister stated that the government has decided to postpone the SSLC exams scheduled for March 5th and the Higher Secondary exams scheduled for March 5th, 6th, and 7th. The revised exam dates will be announced later. The minister also stated that students unable to appear for the exams in the Gulf region should request the Director of General Education through their headmasters/headmistresses and principals.

Online applications for Plus One admissions for the academic year 2026-27 can be submitted starting the day after the SSLC exam results are published. Seats from the previous year are available. All qualified students will be guaranteed a place in higher studies. Admission will be through three allotments. After the main stage, new applications will be invited and the remaining vacant seats will be filled through supplementary applications and the admission process will be completed on time. The 2026 First Year Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary exams will begin on March 5, and the Second Year exams will begin on March 6. 411,025 students are appearing for the First Year exams. 452,437 students are appearing for the Second Year exams. 89 evaluation camps have been set up. Evaluation will begin on April 6. We expect to declare the results on May 22. There are 1966 examination centres in Kerala, seven in the Gulf, nine in Lakshadweep, and two in Mahe.
