Kerala News: Former minister’s aide arrested in Rs 7 crore fraud case
Kochi. Kochi: Satish Chandran, former assistant private secretary to former Food and Civil Supplies Minister P Thilothaman, has been arrested for allegedly committing a fraud of Rs 7 crore in the name of Supplyco. The accused, a resident of Elamkulam in Kochi, is currently in custody. He committed the fraud in connivance with his accomplices from the Food and Civil Supplies Department.
Satish Chandran, who had worked as an assistant to Minister Thilothaman for three months, was dismissed from his post amid allegations of involvement in various fraudulent activities.
Further investigation also revealed Satish Chandran’s history of fraud, including false claims about educational qualifications and involvement in previous employment scams, which led to his dismissal from Minister Thilothaman’s team and an investigation into his conduct. His involvement in duping people by promising jobs in various sectors, including Kochi Metro and government institutions, has come to light, resulting in his arrest along with other accomplices.
