Kerala: Four-year undergraduate courses in colleges to start from July 1

Thiruvananthapuram: The newly launched four-year undergraduate programs in colleges in the state will begin from July 1. As part of the admission process for the courses, a complete academic calendar has been prepared from the admission of students till the declaration of results of the first two semesters. Higher Education Minister R Bindu revealed the details of the academic calendar at a press conference held in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday. “The higher education department has approved the calendar prepared by the registrars of various universities,” the minister said. Applications for the four-year programs for the academic year 2024-25 will be invited from May 20. June 7 is the last date of application. The trial rank list and final rank list will be published on or before June 15. The first allotment of admissions will start on June 22. The date of second allotment of admission will be on or before 29th June. Classes will start from July 1. The date of third allotment of admission will be on or before 5th July. Those who could not apply earlier will have the option to apply between July 8 and July 15. Fourth allotment of admission will be conducted. On or before July 22. After the fourth allotment, allotment will start at the college and department level. The admission process will end on August 24. And if necessary it can be extended till September 13. Course registration of students can be done till 31st August. College union elections should be held before September 30. The first semester must be completed on or before September 30 for examination registration. The timetable for the first semester examination will be published on October 15. Regular classes for the first semester will end on November 5. The work of finalizing the internal assessment marks should be completed before November. 8. The first semester examination will be held from 6th to 22nd November. The first semester will end on November 22. The result of first semester examination should be released on or before 23rd December. Classes of second semester will start. 2 December. College and university level sports competitions should be organized before December 21.
