Kerala: Complainant’s husband files complaint against MLA Rahul Mamkootathil

Palakkad: Another complaint has been filed with the Chief Minister against Palakkad MLA Rahul Mamkootathil. This time, the husband of the woman who previously accused Rahul of sexual assault has come forward against the MLA. A complaint has been filed with the Chief Minister and the Director General of Police (DGP), demanding that a case be filed against Rahul under Section 84 of the Criminal Procedure Code (BNS). The victim’s husband stated that Rahul maintained a relationship with his wife despite knowing that she was married, and this had caused the breakdown of their marriage.
The complainant stated that Rahul took advantage of her absence and befriended her. Previously, Rahul had stated that he had only tried to reconcile the couple and nothing else. The complainant asked that if this was the case, why didn’t Rahul contact her instead of his wife? Speaking to the media, Rahul stated that the truth would eventually come out in the sexual harassment case filed against him.
