Kerala college student burnt to death in ‘mysterious’ manner

Thiruvananthapuram (IANS) | A preliminary investigation has been launched by the police after a mysterious burn injury on the back of a final year BSc Agriculture student at the Kerala Agricultural College. According to reports, the two final year girl students – both from Andhra Pradesh – were roommates in the hostel here. The matter of burn injury has come to light on the back of one of them.

The incident is being told of last week.

Amazingly, the student didn’t complain. It was only after his family came here after hearing about the incident that the college authorities asked the local police to investigate the matter.

Neither the injured student nor her family members have lodged an official complaint. So the police is only conducting a formal investigation.
