Kerala 128 new COVID-19 cases registered, one death
Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala reported 128 new infections from COVID-19 and one death due to the disease in the last 24 hours, according to data published on the Union Health Ministry website on Sunday. According to the website, of the 334 active coronavirus infections recorded across the country till 8 am today, 128 were from Kerala, taking the number of active cases in the state to 3,000. With one death reported in the state, the total number of people who have died due to coronavirus in Kerala since its emergence three years ago reached 72,063. The number of people who have recovered, been discharged or migrated in the last 24 hours after the infection was detected reached 296. With this, the total number of cases under this category so far has reached 68,38,282. On Tuesday, Health Minister Veena George assured the people of the state that, despite the rise in COVID cases in Kerala, there is nothing to worry about. He said hospitals are adequately equipped to control viral infections.
