Assam: An adult wild elephant, reportedly ill, has been stuck in the middle of a black gram field in Gohpur for the past two days. The elephant, believed to have strayed out of Kaziranga National Park in search of food, is receiving medical assistance from a team of veterinarians at Thote Chapori since this afternoon. Senior officials, including Biswanath District Forest Officer and a team of experts have reached the spot to closely monitor the situation. According to veterinarians, the elephant’s condition remains critical.
