Karnataka: Enjoy Chunchankatte Falls and Natural Beauty in Monsoon Many parts of India are witnessing strong monsoons these days, bringing much relief to citizens across the country. Due to the heavy rains of recent days, the lake and waterfall areas have come alive. Local18 reports on Chunchankatte Falls in Mysuru, Karnataka, a spectacular sight for tourists. The thundering waterfalls are located in Chunchankatte village in KR Nagar taluk. Known as Chunchankatte Falls, this area has become a popular tourist destination due to its fast water flow. The waterfall is a creation of the Cauvery River. The waterfall is 400 feet wide and falls from a height of 60 feet, flowing through huge rocks.

The fast flow of water due to the rains creates an impressive sight. The wild waters of the region create a kind of fierce and powerful sight, which is a very popular sight among tourists today. However, visiting this place alone can be dangerous, especially during the monsoon season. This waterfall is reportedly located at a distance of 54 kilometers from the city of Mysore. These waterfalls are considered to be some of the most popular tourist destinations in the Mysore region. It is believed that Chunchanakatte is the place where Lord Rama stayed during his exile and enjoyed the hospitality of a couple named Chuncha and Chunchi. An interesting fact about this place is that the sound of the waterfall can be heard everywhere except from the sanctum of the temple which is believed to be hundreds of years old. Visitors will not be able to find any services at this place except for a few bakeries, restaurants and hotels located in KR Nagar. However, it is known for rice and sugar cultivation.
