Kaniyamoor school violence case: 92 people appear in court
Tamil Nadu : 92 people appeared in the Kallakurichi court on Tuesday in the Kaniyamur school violence case. After this, the court adjourned the next hearing of the case till July 9.
Srimathi, a Plus Two student, died mysteriously on the premises of a private matriculation school in Kaniyamur, next to Kallakurichi, on July 13, 2022. Following this, her relatives and various organizations shut down the school on July 17 and joined the protest.
In addition, they attacked DIG Praveenkumar Abhinav and damaged the SP’s vehicle and the task force vehicle.
The police have registered a case against 119 people under various sections in this regard. While 3 people died in this case, the remaining 116 people were sent summons to appear in court on Tuesday.
Out of these, 92 people appeared for the hearing in the Kallakurichi Chief Criminal Judicial Magistrate’s court. Judge Reena, who heard the case, adjourned the next hearing till July 9.
