Kalyugi mother killed her 2 year old son after watching ‘Drishyam’

Surat (IANS). Surat Police has arrested a 22-year-old woman from Chhattisgarh in connection with the murder of her two-year-old son. Police said that the woman committed the crime after being inspired by the film ‘Drishyam’. The woman was arrested on Saturday.
The woman had filed a kidnapping complaint at Dindoli police station on June 27, claiming that her child had gone missing. The arrested woman has been identified as Nayana Mandavi (22), a resident of Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh.
The woman confessed to the police that she is fond of crime thriller films. He killed his 2-year-old son after watching the movie ‘Drishyam’ and hid his dead body. The woman said, she felt that by doing this she would escape from the clutches of the law.
In the police investigation, it has been revealed that the lover of the woman had refused to marry her after keeping her child. To remove this obstacle, he killed his own child.
Throughout the week the accused kept saying that her child had been kidnapped. However, the investigators could not find any CCTV footage or evidence of the child leaving the house to support this claim.
During intense interrogation, the woman finally confessed to killing her son and burying the body in an open area behind the colony. However, on digging, nothing was found at the place mentioned by the police.
Further inquiries revealed shocking revelations. The woman revealed that she had strangled her child and dumped it at the bottom of the pond.
According to the information, the woman had married four years ago in her native village. But, due to disputes and ill-treatment by her husband, she moved to her mother’s place two years back with her son Veer.
Police said that during his stay in Surat, he befriended Sanju, a laborer who worked with him. whom she wanted to marry.
Police said the accused has been taken into custody and further investigation is underway.
