Kallakurichi: One dead, 2 injured in cylinder blast at Manalurpet River Festival

Tamil Nadu: A woman died after a cylinder exploded during the River Festival in Manalurpettai, Kallakurichi district. The cylinder used to fill helium in balloons exploded, causing a major accident at the River Festival.

District Collector Prashant said that a woman named Kala (52) died on the spot; two others sustained serious injuries and are undergoing treatment.

One death occurred. 13 devotees attending the festival were injured. An investigation is underway at the site of the cylinder explosion with the help of forensic department officials. MP Malayarasan, District Collector Prashant and Police SP inspected the spot. This has created a lot of excitement in the area.
