Kadiyam nurseries will be developed under the Eco-Tourism project
Rajamahendravaram: Collector P Prashanthi urged nursery owners to cooperate in developing the Kadiyam nursery area identified as a special attraction of East Godavari district under the eco-tourism project.
He held a meeting with nursery owners and representatives of nursery associations at the Collectorate on Thursday.
The owners should come up with specific plans to make the nurseries attractive to tourists. He suggested that they make roads connecting the nurseries through the gardens with a variety of plants and make them an interesting place.

He advised them to provide a pleasant atmosphere and infrastructure for tourists. He said they should set up resorts, food courts, coffee shops and playgrounds for children. The resorts have attracted tourists not only in Kerala but also in Maredumilli under the combined East Godavari. The Collector said that activities are already being prepared for the 2027 Pushkaram in the city and surrounding areas of Rajamahendravaram.
Tourism Department RJD V Swamy Naidu, District Horticulture Officer Adapa Durgesh, District Tourism Officer P Venkatachalam, Sir Arthur Cotton Nursery Association President Mallu Bala Raju, nursery representatives Pulla Satyanarayana, Pulla Rajasekhar and Penumaka Babu were present on the occasion.
