J&K Elections 2024: Altaf Bukhari to contest from Chanapora
Jammu and Kashmir: Apni Party has released a new list of 24 candidates for the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. The announcement includes candidates for the second and third phases of the elections. Notably, party chief Altaf Bukhari will contest from Chanapora constituency. Other prominent names include Mohammad Ashraf Mir from Lal Chowk, Ghulam Hassan Mir from Gulmarg and Ghulam Mohammad War from Sopore. Earlier on August 21, Apni Party released its first list of eight candidates for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. During the event, the party also released its manifesto, which promises to advocate constitutional guarantees to preserve the culture and special identity of Jammu and Kashmir. Additionally, they aim to work towards restoring statehood to the Union Territory. The manifesto was presented by party general secretary Rafi Mir at a press conference in Srinagar, which was held on the eve of the Pahalgam election.
