“We have written a letter to the state leadership of JMM, Congress, RJD and Left parties, urging a strong grassroots alliance on each Lok Sabha seat in Jharkhand,” Siraj said.

“The 2024 Lok Sabha elections are very important for the future of the country and democracy. The Indian alliance should ensure that there is only one consensus candidate against the BJP on every seat. But, regrettably, coordination has still not been achieved on seat distribution. It is necessary to select local candidates as per public demand. Candidates should be those who stand with the tribals and indigenous people in the fight for water, forests, land and survival and struggle on public issues,” said the letter addressed to the leaders of the Bharat Alliance.

The letter further said, “The alliance should now pay full attention to organizing public relations programs based on public issues, which is lacking so far.”

“Based on people’s demand and electoral history, the campaign has assessed 10 selected Lok Sabha seats in Jharkhand and suggested that Congress should field candidates on Khunti, Singhbhum, Ranchi and Lohardaga seats, while JMM should field candidates on Jamshedpur, Giridih. , Dumka and Rajmahal constituencies should field candidates. While RJD and CPI-ML should field candidates from Chhatra and Koderma seats respectively,” the letter said.

A member said, “We are yet to take a decision on Dhanbad, Godda, Hazaribagh and Palamu seats.”

In 2019, the BJP and its ally AJSU won 12 out of 14 seats, while the Congress and JMM got one seat each from Singhbhum and Rajmahal respectively.
