Jhansi News: 4 people fell into the well, one died a painful death

Jhansi: The heat in the country is at its peak. The temperature is rising so much that it has become difficult for people to leave their homes. At the same time, there is a crisis of drinking water at many places. Similarly, today in the district, while putting a submersible pump in a closed well, the gutter broke due to excessive load and four people fell into the well along with rocks and were seriously injured, out of which one villager died during treatment in the medical college. Dr. Babulal Donderiya, a doctor by profession and BJP worker, resident of village Bamnuan of Tahrauli police station area, has a well dug in the fence adjoining his house. To protect its water from dirt, years ago the upper surface of the well was closed by laying stone rocks with the help of an iron gutter, leaving a space for putting a motor. On Saturday morning around 9 o’clock, to draw water from the well, Raju Jha, a mechanic from village Bamnuan, Dr. Babulal Donderiya (76), Ramju Kushwaha (50), Dhiru Donderiya (22) were climbing the rocks and putting a submersible pump inside the well, when suddenly due to excess weight, the gutter broke and all of them fell into the well along with the rocks. This created a commotion there. Hearing the screams, people from the neighborhood gathered. The villagers who reached the spot took out all the injured from the well. The injured were brought to the nearby community health center. When the condition did not improve, all four were brought to the medical college. Ramju Kushwaha died during treatment here and Dr. Babulal Donderiya was referred to Gwalior due to his critical condition.
