Jewelers arrested for breaking the lock of a shop
Raipur: 3 accused who broke the lock of a jeweler’s shop and stole have been arrested. Hemant Soni lodged a report at Police Station Arang that he lives in Laxmi Vihar Colony Arang and he has a shop named Hemant Jewelers in front of Arang College Gate. On 01.07.2024, the applicant had locked his jeweler’s shop and went home, when at around 02.30 in the night, the applicant received information that there was a theft in his jeweler’s shop. Then the applicant and his father went to the jeweler’s shop and on matching the goods, 20 pairs of silver toe rings, artificial jewelry resembling gold color, weighing scale and bill book were missing. Some unknown thief broke the lock of the applicant’s shop and entered inside and stole the said goods kept in the shop. On which, crime number 446/24 under section 305(A), 331(2) IPC was registered against the unknown accused in Arang police station.
On which, under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of Anti Crime and Cyber Unit and Arang police station started to trace the unknown accused by making detailed inquiries from the applicant and his father and the people around him regarding the incident. The team members started to trace the unknown accused by inspecting the crime spot as well as the footage of CCTV cameras installed at the crime spot and its surroundings. Along with deploying informers in the case, efforts were being made to identify the unknown accused by collecting information about the criminals recently released from jail in cases of burglary/theft on the basis of modus operandi. During this time, the team members received important information regarding the accused Surya Anant alias Nanku, resident of Palari Baloda Bazar, involved in the incident, on which Surya Anant alias Nanku was traced and caught by the team members. On strict interrogation based on the evidence received, the accused accepted that he had committed the theft along with his other 02 companions Ravi Koshle alias Veeru and Pritam Dahriya alias Papli. On which Ravi Koshle alias Veeru and Pritam Dahriya alias Papli involved in the incident were traced and they were also caught.
The three accused were arrested and stolen artificial jewellery resembling gold, 20 pairs of silver toe rings, weighing scale, bill book and CD deluxe motor cycle number CG/04/FJ/1378 used in the incident and tools worth about Rs. 75,000/- were seized from their possession and action has been taken against the accused.

- Ravi Koshle alias Veeru father Noor Das Koshle age 26 years resident of village Akolikla post Chhatera police station Arang district Raipur. Present address – Kali Nagar Pandri Police Station Civil Line Raipur.
- Pritam Dahriya alias Papli father Khirchand Dahriya age 18 years resident of village Amsena post police station Kharora Raipur. Present address – Satnami Mohalla near Jaitkham Mowa Police Station Pandri Raipur.
