Jason Momoa says he ‘enjoys’ having stage fright
Los Angeles: Hollywood star Jason Momoa says he enjoys having stage fright when he performs with his band. The 45-year-old actor has had a decades-long film career in Hollywood but also played bass guitar in the band OOF TATATA and when they completed their first tour.
“It gives me two hours of being really scared. I’ve never done theater, I’ve never been on stage – so it’s another aspect I’ve never been into. It’s nice to be scared and entertain people in that way,” the actor told people.com.
“It’s been fun to experience.” The “Aquaman” star wants to look “perfect” when he performs in front of a crowd, but ultimately he wants his audience to have a good time. He added: “It might be a crowd of 400, it might be a crowd of 1,000, but they’re right there. It’s very exposed. “And it’s not something that if I mess up, it’s just like, ‘Oh.’ You want to be perfect. But I think people are having a good time, so I’m just trying to go out there and spread some love.”
As part of his act, OOF TATATA has covered songs by Led Zeppelin, Stevie Nicks, The Stooges and Jimi Hendrix, and he began performing publicly in April 2024, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
Momoa said his bandmates are his “best friends” and have taught him a lot about music. He added: “These are my best friends. They’ve been playing for the last 20 years, and they’ve actually taught me how to play guitar and how to play drums. They had kids and were looking to quit music, and I thought, ‘Guys, let’s go. Let’s do something together.’
