Jalandhar: Women booth-level officers honoured for voter mapping on Women’s Day

Jalandhar: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Gulpreet Singh Aulakh felicitated women Booth-Level Officers (BLOs) at the district level for their diligent work in voter list mapping. The Deputy Commissioner stated that, following the directives of the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, women BLOs (BLOs) in three assembly constituencies of the district—Banga (046), Nawanshahr (047), and Balachaur (048)—were felicitated for their outstanding work in the voter list mapping process. The felicitated officers from the Banga assembly constituency included Anju Bala, Paramjit Kaur, and Paramjit Kaur. From the Nawanshahr assembly constituency, Manjit Kaur, Surinder Kaur, and Praveen Bhatti were honored for their efforts.
Similarly, Sapna Chaudhary, Sushma Sharma, and Rajwinder Kaur from the Balachaur assembly constituency were honored for their dedicated contributions. Deputy Commissioner Gulpreet Singh Aulakh praised the efforts of the women officers and stated that their commitment and hard work played a crucial role in ensuring accurate mapping and maintenance of voter rolls. He emphasized that such efforts not only strengthen the electoral process but also highlight the vital role women play in administrative and democratic work. He further stated that women’s contributions to strengthening democratic institutions are invaluable, and their dedication serves as an inspiration to others working in the electoral system. The officers congratulated the honored BLOs and encouraged them to continue performing their duties with the same dedication in the future.
