Jalandhar: Two kilograms of opium were recovered from a man.

Jalandhar: The Crime Branch of Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has arrested a man with 2.01 kilograms of opium. Police Commissioner Dhanpreet Kaur said that a team from the Crime Branch apprehended a man near a gurdwara on Guru Gobind Singh Avenue on suspicion. The accused has been identified as Sahil alias Khatri, a resident of House No. 881, Arjan Nagar, near Lahoriye Di Chakki, Rama Mandi Police Station, Jalandhar.
During the search, 2.01 kilograms of opium were recovered from the accused. An FIR has been registered. The accused is already involved in four criminal cases. Further interrogation of the accused is underway, and a thorough investigation is being conducted into the forward and backward linkages of the drug trafficking network. This operation was conducted under the guidance of DCP/Investigation Manpreet Singh Dhillon, ADCP/Investigation Jayant Puri, and ACP/Detective Amarbir Singh. The team was led by Crime Branch In-charge Inspector Sarabjit Singh.
