Jalandhar: Three killed in road accident
Jalandhar: Three people have died in various road accidents in the area during the last 24 hours. According to information, Jasvir Ram, a resident of village Mehna, told Chabbewal police that his father Kashmir Chand was coming to his village from Hoshiarpur on a bike. When he reached near village Jattpur, a truck passing from the front hit him. His father died. Police have registered a case against the accused driver Bhagat Singh resident Chak Kataru and arrested him. In another case, Rajinder Singh, a resident of village Shankar in district Ludhiana, has lodged a complaint with the Garhshankar police. He told the police that his nephew Dharminder Singh resident Lehra district Ludhiana was coming towards Garhshankar by driving a truck. He was going towards his truck after defecation near Garhshankar when a car hit him. He was seriously injured in the accident. He was admitted to the hospital where he died. The accused driver fled with the car. Police have registered a case against the unknown driver. In another case, Jeevan Kumar, a resident of village Manguwal, was going from Gadhshankar to Banga with cement in his truck. When he reached near a resort, the truck suddenly went out of control and hit a tree on the roadside, due to which Jeevan Kumar died. Gadhshankar police is investigating the case.
