Jalandhar: The Anganwadi Employees’ Union organized its 13th conference in Nakodar.

Jalandhar: The 13th conference of the Anganwadi Workers Union Punjab (CITU), Jalandhar District, was held in Nakodar, presided over by Nirlep Kaur and Satwant Kaur. The organization’s flag and the CITU flag were hoisted by Patron Dharamjit Kaur and District President Nirlep Kaur. Vice President Harjit Kaur moved a condolence resolution for the departed members, followed by a two-minute silence observed in their memory. The conference was inaugurated by District Patron Dharamjit Kaur and former IIFA National President Neelam Maitra, who urged the women representatives to resolve their issues through unity and collective struggle. District Treasurer Paramjit Kaur welcomed all the guests and delegates attending the conference. Sodhi Ram Uppal, a leader of the All India Agricultural Workers Union, also addressed the union members.
Leader Kamaljit Singh Phillaur also shared his views. District Secretary Krishna Kumari Puadra presented the union’s report covering the past three years at the conference. Among the delegates and the audience, 12 representatives participated in the debate on the report and offered their suggestions for further strengthening the organization in the future. During the debate, District Secretary Krishna Kumari gave an assurance that all suggestions made by the representatives would be duly recorded in the report, which was subsequently passed unanimously. Harjit Kaur Panjola, State President of the Anganwadi Workers Union Punjab (CITU), and General Secretary Subhasarani presented a 31-member panel for the elections, which was unanimously approved by the house. The newly elected committee unanimously elected Nirlep Kaur as District President, Krishna Kumari as General Secretary, and Paramjit Kaur as Treasurer. At the conclusion of the event, Nirlep Kaur extended her vote of thanks to all the guests, delegates, and supporters.
