Jalandhar: Student jumps from university building, dies

Jalandhar: A 20-year-old student of a private university in Phagwara allegedly committed suicide by jumping from a high-rise building inside the campus. The deceased has been identified as Pristella Thanuj, son of Pristella Venkatesalu, a resident of Ranga Reddy district in Telangana.

According to initial information, the incident occurred on campus. University officials were immediately alerted, following which hostel warden Mahinder Singh took the student to the Civil Hospital in Phagwara. However, doctors at the hospital declared him dead.
