Jalandhar: Seerat shines in the world of glamour

Jalandhar: At 38, married and with two children, Manpreet Chawla, better known as Seerat Chawla in her circle, hasn’t given up on her passion. Modeling has been Seerat’s first love since she was a teenager. Hailing from Chandigarh, she participated in ramp shows. Maintaining her afloat in the world of glitz and glamour, she was recently chosen as the brand ambassador for Mrs. India Asia 2025 by Fashion Meraki. The event was held in the national capital. Chawla, who was also on a photoshoot today, said, “I participated in the Mrs. India Asia contest last year. I was among the top 10 selected by the organizers. I was crowned Miss Style Icon 2024. In the year since that event, I’ve been doing various modeling assignments, including bridal shoots and ramp walks for heritage fashion shows. This time, 75 contestants competed for their coveted brand ambassador title. But they chose me based on my work and the way I represented them for a year.”
The model explained that she was doing paid shoots for various makeup artists. “It’s a job that requires a lot of patience, self-control, and time. I also have to travel to many places. To maintain myself, I have to pay attention to my diet, exercise, good sleep, and skin and hair care.” She added, “I wouldn’t have been able to do all this without the support of my family, especially my husband Abhilaksh Chawla, who runs an immigration firm. My son is 10 and my daughter is five. When I’m out of the house, our mother takes care of both of them. Meanwhile, whenever I’m free, we spend quality time with each other.” Seerat also tried her luck in the Pollywood film Yaar Anmulle. She has also shot for a video album, but says she doesn’t enjoy acting as much as she enjoys walking the ramp. “The passion to be seen on stage, to be clicked, to be followed on social media, and to be famous has always kept me going,” she concluded.
