Jalandhar: Project to rehabilitate Palahi Road inaugurated

Jalandhar: Member of Parliament Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal has inaugurated the project to rebuild Palahi Road, a vital stretch connecting Phagwara to the historic village of Palahi and approximately 25 surrounding villages. Addressing residents and local leaders at the site on Friday, Chabbewal described the project as a major step toward strengthening infrastructure and alleviating the daily commute difficulties faced by thousands of villagers. The road has been in poor condition for nearly 12 years, and commuters have struggled with potholes and a poor surface. The MP assured the gathering that work on Banga Road will begin after the Palahi Road project is completed. He stated that the company responsible for the road’s maintenance and upkeep will be responsible for the next five years.
