Jalandhar: Motorcyclist dies after being hit by high-speed car

Punjab: A motorcyclist died after a speeding car hit his bike from behind near Eastwood village on National Highway on Tuesday night. The deceased has been identified as Ravi Kumar, a resident of Jalandhar. He was going to Khatti village near Phagwara to meet relatives along with his wife Kamaljit Kaur. The car driver fled after hitting the bike. Kamaljit also sustained injuries. Police have registered a case against the unidentified driver under sections 304A, 336 and 279 IPC. The body of the deceased was handed over to the family after post-mortem at the local civil hospital.
