Jalandhar: Lohri festival was celebrated with great pomp

Jalandhar: The girl students of Kanya Mahavidyalaya celebrated the festival of Lohri with great enthusiasm. The celebrations began with the address of Principal Professor Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi. On this occasion, the girl students sang folk songs.

State Public School, Shahkot

The festival of Lohri was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the State Public School, Shahkot. Principal Dr. Kanwar Neel Kamal lit the Holika to symbolize warmth and auspiciousness. The entire atmosphere of the school was immersed in the festive atmosphere.

Lyallpur Khalsa College

The festival of Lohri was celebrated with great pomp in Lyallpur Khalsa College, Technical Campus. The program began with Lohri Puja. All the teachers and girl students participated enthusiastically in this festival.

Innocent Hearts Group

The festival of Lohri and Makar Sankranti was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the Innocent Hearts Group. A special assembly was organized on this occasion, in which the students were told about the importance of these festivals. The students presented folk songs on Lohri and shared their views on Makar Sankranti.

Sanskriti KMV School
The campus of Sanskriti KMV School was abuzz with festive fervour on the occasion of Lohri. The event witnessed a wonderful amalgamation of tradition and fervour, symbolizing the spirit of togetherness. The highlight of the celebrations was the lighting of the bonfire, which was accompanied by rhythmic beats of dhols and passionate Bhangra performances by the students.
CT Group of Institutions
The festival of Lohri was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm at all the campuses of CT Group, including Shahpur and Maqsudan campuses, CT World School, CT Sunshine Kindergarten and CT Public School. The celebrations reflected the true essence of the rich cultural heritage of Punjab and students, teachers and staff came together to bring out the joyous spirit of the festival. The celebrations began with traditional Lohri rituals, including the lighting of the bonfire.
Guru Amardas Public School
The festival of Lohri and Maghi was celebrated with great fervour in the junior and senior wings of Guru Amardas Public School, Model Town. Teachers and students sang the song ‘Magh Majhan Sangh Sadhua’. On this occasion, a brief history of Lohri and Maghi was also told to the students. Apart from this, the students also presented songs, poems and folk dances depicting the joy of Lohri.
Gurukul
The festival of Lohri and Makar Sankranti was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Gurukul School. A cultural program was organized, in which the students participated enthusiastically. The program was started by lighting a bonfire by the school director, principal and teachers. The students made everyone aware of the importance of this day by reciting poems, dancing and singing folk songs.
New Saint Soldier Public School
Lohri was celebrated in New Saint Soldier Senior Secondary Public School located in Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar. The students presented colorful programs and expressed their happiness through songs. School Director Sushma Handa called upon the students to adopt the spirit of brotherhood and sweetness hidden behind this festival.
Kamla Nehru Primary School

Kamala Nehru Primary School, Guru Hargobind Nagar, Phagwara organised a special assembly on the occasion of Lohri festival. It was celebrated with great pomp and gaiety. The students explained the significance of Lohri festival and presented songs and dances.

St. Soldier Group of Institutions

The festival of ‘Lohri Dhiyaan Di’ was celebrated with great pomp and gaiety in various branches of St. Soldier Group of Institutions, wherein the Directors, Principals and Group Staff members of all the schools and colleges welcomed Chairman Anil Chopra and Vice Chairperson Sangeeta Chopra. The students and staff members decorated the premises. The students sang folk songs and performed Bhangra and Giddha on Lohri.
