Jalandhar: Labourer found murdered in room
Jalandhar: A young labourer was found murdered in his rented room in Khajurala village on Saturday night. The body was found lying on the floor in a pool of blood. The landlord Harinder Kumar told the police that he had built a few rooms to rent out. Another tenant Mohammad Munna came to him and told that Abhimanyu Singh had not been seen since October 3.
On Saturday, he smelled a foul smell from the deceased’s room, which was locked from outside. Munna said that he immediately informed the village sarpanch Ajay Kumar and the lock of the room was opened. The body was found lying on the floor soaked in blood. Phagwara SP Rupinder Kaur Bhatti said that the police have registered a case and sent the body to the local civil hospital for post-mortem. No arrest has been made yet.
