Jalandhar: Active participation of citizens is important in census

Jalandhar: The Jalandhar administration is fully prepared for India’s first digital census, which begins tomorrow in Punjab. This year, the census will be entirely digital, making door-to-door data collection and storage more efficient and quick. Jalandhar district officials and the digital census team reviewed preparations in every area of ββthe city. They stated that this is the first time citizens’ information will be recorded directly on a digital platform, making the process faster and more transparent than traditional paper recording.
Under the digital census, trained officials and staff will visit every household. Citizens will be required to submit their Aadhaar, family member information, and other necessary documents. All data will be stored on a secure cloud-based server. Officials have appealed to citizens for their full cooperation in the digital survey. They explained that providing accurate and complete information is essential, as it will help in planning, development, and resource distribution for the city and state. The census officer said, “We have ensured the availability of digital devices, internet connectivity, and training in every area. All staff have been trained to collect data safely and efficiently.”
Experts say that the digital census will not only save time and effort, but also increase the accuracy and security of the data. This will help policymakers make important decisions regarding the development and population management of the city and state. The local administration, police, and technical teams are working together to ensure the success of the digital census process in the city. Additionally, an information campaign has been launched to raise public awareness. Jalandhar’s first digital census sends the message that traditional government processes can be made more effective, transparent, and citizen-centric through technological improvements. The administration has assured that the entire process will be secure, confidential, and accurate.
