Jalandhar: 15 schools participated in the education-cum-science fair

Jalandhar: The Shiksha-cum-Science Mela-2025, organised recently at GNA University, Phagwara, brought together students, teachers and science enthusiasts for a day full of innovations and learning. More than 15 CBSE and ICSE affiliated schools from Hoshiarpur district participated in the event. It showcased a wide range of student projects, interactive science exhibitions and expert discussions that left a lasting impression on all the attendees.

The fair saw participation of over 870 students and over 40 student projects covering a wide range of scientific areas from renewable energy solutions to advancements in health and technology, robotics and automation technology, hospitality, animation multimedia and pharmaceutical sciences. These projects not only highlighted the immense creativity and talent of young minds but also emphasised the importance of promoting scientific curiosity in today’s education system. The event also offered live demonstrations, hands-on workshops and insightful talks by scientists and teachers.

“It was truly inspiring to see the level of enthusiasm and innovation on display. Chancellor of GNA University Gurdeep Singh Sihra said, “This fair has proved that our students are not only curious but also equipped with the knowledge and skills to make meaningful contributions to the future of science and education.” On this occasion, Vice Chancellor of GNA University Hemant Sharma visited the exhibition and science fair and appreciated the technical skills of the school students. Registrar of GNA University Kunal Bains, Dean Academics Monika Hanspal, Dean Engineering and Automation CR Tripathi were also present on the occasion.
