Jalandhar: 11 participated in NCC camp

Jalandhar: The cadets of Government Public School Jalandhar Cantt brought laurels to the school by performing well in the training camp. 11 cadets from DAV University participated in the joint annual training camp under the guidance of Commanding Officer Vinod Joshi and Caretaker Tutor Officer Harjinder Kaur. Cadet Karmadani participated in the volleyball competition and won the silver medal. Cadets Mansi, Harsh Kumar, Sachin Kumar, Gaurav Dogra, Sneha, Ankita Kumari and Anuj Kumar participated in various sports and cultural programs. This 10-day camp has been conducted under 2 Punjab Battalion Jalandhar. Chairman and Vice Chairman of Group of State Public Schools Narottam Singh and Gagandeep Kaur along with Savina Bahl motivated the students to come forward and do important work for the society. Exploring Brussels and Paris
Under the banner of Vasal Education, students from Cambridge International School (Dasuya), Gems Cambridge International School (Hoshiarpur) and Ivy World School (Jalandhar) undertook an educational trip to Brussels and Paris. The trip, which lasted for six days and seven nights, was aimed at enhancing the perspectives of the students by providing them with practical learning opportunities and cultural interactions. The trip began in Brussels, where the students delved deeper into European politics and culture. The students gained first-hand insight into the rich diversity of the city by visiting famous attractions including the Grand Place, the Mannequin Pis statue, the Herz Museum, Mini Europe and the Euro Space Centre. Students’ knowledge about global citizenship was enhanced by engaging in stimulating discussions during guided tours throughout the day and interactive media projects in the evening. Continuing their adventure in Paris, the students explored the artistic treasures and historical sites of the city. From the famous artworks of the Louvre Museum to the Eiffel Tower, every day provided in-depth learning experiences. The highlight of the trip was a meeting with Javed Ashraf, the High Commissioner of India to France. The students enjoyed cordial interactions and a pleasant High Tea hosted by Ashraf.

Performance of Students in University Results

The students of St. Soldier Institute of Engineering & Technology performed well in the University examinations. Those who scored well in Mechanical Engineering (Semester VIII) include Rakesh Kumar (9.0 CGPA), Prince Kumar (8.5), Inderjeet Suman (8.0), Savage (9.0), Shirsh Sharma (8.0), Shivam Rai (9.0), Akash Semwal (8.0), Ankush Dhiman (8.0), Gurjeet Singh (8.0), Harvinder Singh (8.0), Hem Raj (8.0), Lalit Kumar (8.0), Mohit (8.0), Mukul Mehra (8.0), Narinder Singh (8.5), Omkar Singh (8.5). In Electronics and Communication Engineering, Simran Kumari scored 8.0 CGPA, Ankita scored 9.0, Abhijeet Mandla scored 9.0, Raghu Raja scored 8.0, Bachit Ram scored 8.5, Karan Dhiman scored 9.0, Sajan scored 8.5, Gurmeet Kaur scored 9.0, Manish Kumar scored 9.0, Rajwinder Kaur scored 9.0, Rishabh Agarwal scored 9.0, Sahil scored 9.0 and Sameer Dugg scored 9.0. Computer Science Engineering students scored the following CGPA: Kajal (9.00), Aditya Jha (9.0), Lalit (9.0), Manjot Kaur (9.0), Rajveer Kaur (10.0), Sahil (9.0), Sunil Kumar (9.0), Saroj (9.0), Palvi (9.0), Shweta Koundal (10.0), Alka (9.0), and Chandni (9.0). Group Chairman Anil Chopra and Vice Chairperson Sangeeta Chopra congratulated them.

Students participated in Phonetics Activity

Phonetics activity was organized for the students of class LKG of CJS Public School under the guidance of management and Principal Ravi Suta. The children performed the activity by speaking the phonetic sounds of the alphabet and picking up the objects related to it. The students enthusiastically performed the activity using placards. Chairperson Neena Mittal and Principal Ravi Suta appreciated the creativity of the students and motivated them to get involved in such extra-curricular activities.
