Jagtial: Oil tanker overturned, caught fire

Jagtial: The tank of a truck overturned and caught fire on the Jagtial-Nizamabad road near Venkataraopet on the outskirts of Metpally town on Tuesday morning. The driver jumped out of the vehicle just in time.

The tank truck, which was heading towards Ragavapet in Mallapur mandal from Hyderabad, took off after one of its pneumatics caught fire near Venkataraopet at around 5 am. The car immediately caught fire.

Electricity supply in the area was also affected due to the intensity of the flames or the power lines passing over the area.

Police reached the spot, stopped the movement of vehicles and alerted the attackers. Two units of bombers were deployed to control the llamas.
