Jagannath Temple inside video goes viral yet again, raises security concerns
Puri: Another video showing the inside of the famous Puri Jagannath Temple has gone viral on social media platform Instagram. The video was shared by a devotee from Vrindavan.
The incident has once again raised serious concerns about the security arrangements at the ancient shrine.
The video, was shared filmed by one, Banke Bihari Ananta, shows the inside of the temple premises and the Sanctum Sanctorum of the shrine. It was shared on his social media account, and has gone viral.
Filming inside the temple has been banned by the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA). Moreover, the Sevayats and other employees of the temple were also restricted from entering with smartphones. The authorities has also placed mobile stands outside the temple for storage of the phones. Those who violate the rule and bring phone with them inside the temple has to pay a fine of Rs 1,000.
Devotees have expressed discontentment over this incident and alleged that the police officer stationed outside the temple are not doing their work properly which has led to the repetation of suck incidents.
This is not the first time such video has surfaced on social media platforms. Videos filmed inside the temple also went viral in previous years. This has raised concerns about the temple’s security system.
